getting spoiled on my special day

Here's to 43!  I'm so blessed my family and friends took me out for a fun birthday dinner.

We went do Diamond Backs and I had sushi and lobster bisque soup.
I ended the night with a delicious bite of cheesecake and then shared the rest.

We sat in the back in a little cubby that was once the elevator shaft.  It was a fun table for 8 people.  I felt very very spoiled on my special day!

Layla is at cheer camp, but she managed to send me a sweet Snapchat birthday greeting.  I loved it!

This girl is 11!!

Layla turned 11 yesterday on July 11th.  It was a fun day doing all things Layla.
She (like me) has been celebrating her day for a week so far!

She chose cookie cake for her birthday cake this year!

She is just growing into such a smart little lady.  She loves to play guitar.  Every time she walks by the piano she plays a couple of songs.  She doesn't realize it, but she's constantly singing, especially in the shower.  She's still as loving as ever with animals and she's pretty loving towards her brother too.  They have their moments of fighting, but mostly they are buddies.

Her legs are getting so long!

Yesterday for her birthday we went to see The Secret Life of Pets.  It was so cute.  We all enjoyed it!

7-11 continued their free slurpee on 7-11 tradition, so we joined in on that fun.  She got a birthday cake flavored slurpee and it was pretty tasty!  After the movie and slurpee we came home to swim and then she chose Chic-fil-A for dinner.  It was a fun day and that is exactly what I want for the kids birthday days.  I love celebrating them!

birthday birthday and more birthday

Gary took me to Austin for a little getaway for my birthday.

We started the trip with appetizers and drinks.  I love salsa so I was so happy!

I had a marg-tini or something like that.  I've never met a margarita I didn't like, so I was double happy!

Our buddies celebrated with us and we splurged on a fun hotel in Austin.

While innocently hanging out at the pool, this girl flew in from California to help me celebrate 40.  Oh what a wonderful surprise.  We haven't seen each other in 11 years, but it was like we never were apart!

40 selfie was in order, and look at one of my birthday gifts from Gary and the kids, a gold Texas necklace.  I love it so much!

Our group walked around the 6th street area and met up with some other buddies who live nearby.

It was the most fun and I felt spoiled!

6th street was crazy and I was loving the people watching.

And then  I danced on the bar.

I love that we got to take a selfie.  All of these wonderful folks just let me do it and didn't even try to argue. lol!  I love them all for making me feel so special and for putting up with my month long celebration!

We made our way back to Waco so Audra & Scott could tour the town and see how much Waco has grown.  We had a party at our house and even had the soccer game on a projector.  Oh my!  It was so fun.  I had a wonderful weekend.

I am one blessed lady and I'm so thankful for all the fun memories made!

So far 40 is amazing!!!!

40!

I had a great day bringing in my 40th year!

It has been raining like crazy here in Texas and there was a brief storm before dinner, but otherwise the day was sunny.  I'm so thankful for some sunshine!

Gary felt like we needed to celebrate my birthday and the fact that I GOT A JOB!  It is all lined up for me to start work in August!  I'm thrilled and very thankful for the opportunity!

I'm blessed and I'm so happy to have had a wonderful day surrounded by awesome people.  I enjoyed lunch with my parents and dinner with my little tribe!  40 feels great so far!

let's camp!

We're camping for my birthday weekend! YAY!!

We arrived at the campsite this afternoon and had to get everything set up.  I love to feel at home right when I get there.  This is our first camping trip in a few years, so it took us a few extra minutes to get everything set up.

Layla is making sure the hammock works ok! ;)

Hayden is making sure he'll fit on the jet ski daddy brought from work.  We love being able to try out new motorsports toys !

Gary said we look like Sanford and Son, but we have everything we need to camp, even though it's a little cluttered!

After we got everything just right we had dinner and then ventured out for a walk to explore the campgrounds alittle more.  What a great sunset view!!

I love all those characters behind me!  I'm excited for a fun weekend!

39!

We had a fun dinner at La Parrilla celebrating my birthday!

I didn't blow out birthday candles this year, instead I had a giant margarita!

I am spoiled by my guy!  He got me a Yeti cooler!  I can't wait to test it out this weekend when we go camping.   When my family asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday I said, "Let's go camping!"  It's my favorite!

Thanks for a great day celebrating and here's to the next month celebrating my birthday right into July when we'll start celebrating the kids birthday month!   Yipeeeee!

Happy July, their birthday month!!

Gosh I love these two munchkins.

No one told me when they were born they would age.  I thought they would stay three years old forever.

I love each of their personalities.  I love hearing their thoughts and opinions.

I hope I'm not messing them up with my demands for a somewhat clean house.

I hope they really do like my cooking.

I hope when I retire they won't be embarrassed of the huge RV that will park in front of their houses to babysit my grandchildren.

I hope they enjoy me as much as I enjoy them.  I get frustrated with them and they get frustrated with me too, but I hope we can still grow up together!
