Spring Break trip to OH-IO!

The kiddos were sooooo excited to see their friends back in Ohio!

They missed their buddies who are more like family than friends!

The adults got to go out for a night on the town!

It was so fun, I'm laughing my face off in the picture above.

We are blessed with many many fun friends in many different states.

Friday we spent all day with the kids.  We played outside inbetween rain showers.

We took them out for cheeseburgers and fries.

It was a quick, but fun trip and memories were made to last a lifetime.

We drove 9 hours with the kids there and back.  It was exhusting.  Layla searched each exit for a rest stop so we could get out and do cart-wheels to stretch out!  I'm thankful for a nice and safe trip there and back.  Tomorrow we will get back to normal and celebrate Easter here in Georgia!

bird eggs!

He's so excited about his most recent discovery.

No, these aren't Easter eggs!  They are bird eggs.  Hayden found them while jumping on the trampoline.  He grabbed them out of the nest and then he put them back.

We were all nervous that the parents wouldn't come back, but the momma bird DID!  She's still caring for her baby eggs, so that wives tale about the mom smelling human scent is FALSE!  I'm happy to know this, because I was worried.

We can't wait to see if they have hatched when we return from our Spring Break trip!

soccer soccer and more soccer

Oh me, oh my.  It was a wild day of soccer.  Hayden scored 3 goals and played awesome, but they played the hardest team they have played this season.  It was great to see them play a really hard team, because they worked harder and fought to try to come back.

It was a chilly 34 degrees at 8:30 when we showed up for Hayden's game.  Brrrrr.  We thought wow, is this Ohio or Georgia?!?

Layla is on the right in this picture with her pony tail flying!  She played her heart out also, but their team lost as well.  They also played a really talented team.

Layla played defense almost the entire game.  She played so hard and kept that ball away from a really tall and really good offensive player on the other team.  It was a fun and exciting day of soccer!

how does your garden groove?

Three classes from Hayden's school put on a fun production of "How does your garden groove?"  It was so cute to see the kiddos singing and dancing.

Each student had a part in the production!  Everyone was dressed up as a kind of fruit or veggie.

It was a great treat to watch them all work together and sing their hearts out.  Hayden sang almost every word to every song!!  Gary and I enjoyed the spring time show!

bubbles on her feet & toes

Layla decided she needed a pedicure this afternoon.  We painted nails and toenails and she soaked her feet.  I'm assuming you aren't supposed to put soap in the foot bath!  LOL!  Lily was eating the bubbles and Layla was so funny.  She was throwing them all around the room.  Bubbles are awesome!  And so are fresh painted nails!  :-)
