ARIEL on POINT!

I am so thrilled for our little tumbler.  She finally landed her ariel on the ground!  She's been doing it on the trampoline for months, but getting it finally made her squeal with delight!!!

Layla wanted to branch out and do something different, so she tried volleyball this spring.  I can't wait to get her back into a tumbling class.  Tumbling truly makes her so so very happy!

Yay for the mastery of her ARIEL!

our volleyball girl

It has been so fun watching LK play a new sport this spring.  She wanted to try something new and I think that is brave!  She has done great and we enjoy watching her and her team grow in teamwork!

Go Chargers!!

baseball in the fall

Tonight was Hayden's last baseball game of the fall season.  It was a great season and the boys only lost a few games.   They ended up losing  tonight in the last inning and it was just so sad.

They played so great though.  We are exhausted from playing 2 nights a week, but it has been an awesome adventure.  I just love watching all these little guys practice and get better with each game.

I am so thankful for this blog and the ability to look back and see how much this boy has grown.  I love watching Layla and Hayden and all their adventures.  I feel like I fall behind keeping up with our memories at times, but I must continue to do it.  I want them to have something to look back on.  I just know they will love it as much as I do!

Oh my goodness what a little toot!

Football time in Texas

We finally made it to a Midway home football game!

The first Midway game of the season it rained and the second game Hayden was feeling awful, so we finally went to a home game last night. As a member of the Panther Pack, Hayden got to run onto the field before the football players run out.  He was feeling shy about it, but he did great!

Layla participated in a Goal Tenders dance clinic a few weekends ago and she got to perform with them before the game.  It was a fun and busy night with kid activities.  I loved being at the game because I just love Friday night football.  As a little kid before I was a cheerleader or in the band I attended football games.  Layla had fun last night just as I did when I as a little girl because she got to hang out with her buddies.

I'm thrilled to work for and send my kiddos to such a great school district.  I'm looking forward to many more fun Friday evenings under the bright Friday night lights.  I hope to head to my high school too for a game or two!  #Cubforlife

two games down!

We've been practicing baseball and now it is time for the games to begin.  Since it's fall baseball there will be no more practice and only games.  Two games a week every week for a month.

This week we won both games!!!

It is so fun to watch these boys play.  I'm so proud of Hayden.  I know he is tired after school.  It was to be tough to focus all day long and then go to baseball and focus on that too.

We are loving watching him and now I am just hoping for more fall like weather so we can enjoy the games without sweating.  It's this time of the year in Texas that I'm ready for FALL!

fall ball

Hayden has been waiting since March to play baseball again and tonight was the night!  He started fall baseball and he was so excited.

He looked good out there and I think it will be a great fall season.  Fall baseball is pretty low key and that is great because Hayden needs to work on skills before spring.  If he chooses to play in the springtime I've heard it's pretty intense.

I'm ready for some cooler temps though.  It's pretty steamy out there in the evenings.  We have four practices and then games begin.  I'll be back with more baseball news soon!

spring soccer!

The spring soccer season has begun for Hayden!

He is thrilled to get started.

Layla chose gymnastics, so she is a soccer spectator this year!

She was making braclets while watching Hayden kick the ball around.

I'm excited for soccer, but it needs to warm up a bit.  I was freezing at the fields tonight!

Upward basket ball season end party!

Hayden loved playing basket-ball!!  He had an awesome first season.
To celebrate a great season they had an 'end of the season' party!

There were tons of fun activites going on including huge human sized hamster balls.
Hayden got picked to ride inside one!  I was thrilled for him.  He was grinning from ear to ear!

His team had to roll him half the length of the basketball court and back.  They did and they did it the fastest and so they won the race!  It was a fun night.  I love the Upward program.  I love how every single event has a lesson and the kids are learning about team work and The Lord.

I hope Hayden decides to play again next year!

Last basketball game of the season

Today was Hayden's last game! He played great defense. I'm so unbelievable proud of the improvements he has made in basketball.

Hayden really never even picked up a basketball when he decided he wanted to play. He could barely dribble.

He didn't care. He was ready to learn and boy did he. And so did I! Upwards is a great program for kids and I'm glad he played!

I'm sure all spring and summer long he will be practicing on his new basket ball hoop Santa brought. I think he will be shooting and perfecting his game so he can play again next year!

He had an amazing season and met some great friends along the way! I think his teammates are all pretty cool guys.

1st basket ball practice

This morning was Hayden's first basket ball practice.

He has been talking about this day for months!

As he was putting on his baskeball shoes he told them he loved them.  It made me giggle!

He got his game jersey and couldn't wait to get home and try it on.  I'm sure he would wear it every single day if  we'd let him!

Let's Go #5!!!!
