Father's Day 2014

I have the best daddy ever and I'm so thankful for him. He's such a great grandfather!

I also have a great husband who's an amazing daddy too.

The kids and I are blessed indeed!

We had a wonderful day eating and playing and celebrating!

Gary smoked a baconator and pork for pork sandwiches!

It was a wonderful day!

Father's Day 2013

I'm pretty sure Gary had an amazing Father's Day!  This is one of his first days off in several weeks, so just that makes things great!  He got to relax on the porch and drink coffee with his family.

He wanted to go out for cheeseburgers for lunch, so we did.  Who are we to say no to cheeseburgers on Father's day?

Silly boys...they make me laugh!

Layla is posing with her Butterfinger shake!

We had friends over on Father's day night and we ate blue crab nachos.  Gary requested them and they were amazing!!

We had our first bonfire of the season.  It was a fun way to celebrate the day!

I am so thankful for my three people.  At the end of the day they are all that matter to me.  We are making some wonderful memories here in our new state and we all couldn't be happier!

fun father's day festivities

We had a fun Father's Day weekend celebrating my favorite dads.

We had homemade ice-cream.  Mmmmm!  It was a wonderful treat!

LK stole my camera and took tons of pictures.

{I love my sweet little man}

Not to bad for an amateur...huh?!

I had fun with the camera too.  We took Daisy with us to play with my parents 3 dogs.
All the pets got along great!

It was a fun adventure and I think Daisy has napped since we got home earlier today.

The kids always have fun exploring in Netsie and DeDe's backyard.

This child kills me. Oh how I love her!

♥

Gary got his Father's Day wish.  All he wanted to do was watch the US Open golf tournament on TV.  That is what we have been doing!

We had a fun weekend.  We are blessed!

our muddy & wet weekend

We had a really fun weekend hanging out with some of our best buddies from Waco.

Jarred and Shelby talked us into doing the Caveman Crawl in Bridgeport.  It was hot and I can't believe we agreed to do it, but I am so glad we did.  It was so much fun.

I wasn't actually planning to run.  I wanted to walk the kids course to take pictures and help Layla if necessary.  Gary wanted to walk it too just to see what it was all about.  It was a kids course, we thought it would be a breeze.  Um not so much!!  There was a moment when I really thought I was going to die. We all made it through the obstacles and trudged through the mud.  The worst part was the rocky hills.  I can't believe none of us had a heat stroke.  It was only 105 on Saturday.  Sheesh!

The kids grins on the 500 foot long water slide were priceless.

After the extremely HOT Caveman Crawl we headed home to splash in the backyard.  The kids had a ball...we put a sprinkler under the trampoline, when that got boring we busted out the slip n slide.  Then all the kids and dads managed to wreck the swimming pool.  It was hysterical.
Good times in our crazy backyard.

Yes ... those would be the dads doing a dual bare belly bust.
I think the dads acted like bigger kids than the actual  kids.  haha!

Dance party...whoop whoop!

When we finally had it with the heat for the day we played Just Dance on the Wii.  We all laughed at one another for hours.  It was so fun to see the sassy girls dancing and the adults being goofy.

Sunday we hung out and played more and then our little family headed out for an ice cream date.

We all got blizzards and they tasted so darn good on a hot Father's Day Sunday.

Layla is still wearing the medal {see it around her neck} she won at the Caveman Crawl.  I think she is excited for the next "mud run."  We are planning to do more in the future...hopefully the next one won't be all uphill in 105 degree temperatures.

rock his world

Layla and Hayden just gave Gary one of his Father's day gifts.

 REally???  IT is not time.

Since the cat {rock} is out of the bag here is a picture so you can get this ready for the Father in your life.

How cute is this???

If you didn't want to use the applique thingy you could write in paint "my dad rocks."

Since Hayden made this at preschool he used only yellow paint.  Yellow just happens to be his FAV color.  The other kids in his class had some wild and fun colored rocks.

Imagine the possibilities!!

Older kids can really go nuts with this creative rock Father's day craft/gift!

Father's day is Sunday :)
