first grade field day

Hayden's field day was bright and early this morning.  Gary and I went to school to hang out for a bit.

Hayden loved his sno-cone and he loved running and playing even more.  He is so competitive!

My favorite game was this one above....

The kids had to fill a bucket with water with a cup that has holes in the bottom.  It's so funny to watch them giggle and laugh as they try to strategically fill the bucket!  They love getting soaking wet!

What a fun way to start the week.
Only 12 more days of school and then summer is here!!  WooHoo!

tea, field day and a sandy beach

This morning Hayden's first grade class honored us mommas with a tea party.

The snacks were delicious and the kiddos even sang songs to us moms.
It was a wonderful way to start the Mother's Day weekend!

Fourth grade had their field day today also.

I pretty much hung out at the school all morning long.

The kiddos had sno-cones and then finished up their field day activities.

After school we decided to meet up with our buddies at a nearby sandy beach.

We played in the water and dug in the sand.  I was so happy to sit in my chair and soak up some sun rays!

It was a fun filled day and we will all sleep very well tonight!

Monday Funday!

Layla and Hayden are out the door ...  for their first full week of school!  They only started last Wednesday, but so far they are both loving it.  I think once we get back into a full routine they will be great.  I know this week will be full of tired evenings and sleepy mornings, but soon the summer wildness will wear off and we'll be back into a fall routine!   I'm excited to see Layla and Hayden grow and learn this school year!

back to school!

Yay for back to school!

I now have a handsome first grader!

And a pretty fourth grader!

I am so excited to see what this school year brings!  I left the school with two very happy and excited kiddos.  I'm thankful they love school!!
