Mother's Day 2020

I had an awesome Mother's Day!

I made buffalo chicken dip while drinking champagne.

We headed to friends house for a crab boil.  It is the first time we've all really hung out since quarantine.  It was so wonderful to see everyone.

I'm so thankful for a fun filled day.  I lvoed every second of my Mother's Day!

The kids ended the day with yummy smores!

We are blessed indeed.

Mother's Day 2016

We celebrated my first Mother's Day back in Texas.

I had a great day with my people.  They spoiled me all day long.

We all cracked up laughing when we set up the timer for this picture.  Lily licked Hayden right on his face.   I couldn't find the selfie stick so we did the best we could with the auto-timer on my iPhone.  The family is so sweet to let me get pictures.  I asked for a family shot and they totally knew it was coming!  I've got them trained right! ;)

All  I wanted for lunch was Chicken Parmesean.

Gary decided on Carino's, back where Gary and I worked once upon a time.  We splurged on Italian nachos, a salad, entree and a tiny dessert.  The dessert shocked me. It said mini, but it was really mini.  I got a tiny square of cheesecake and I was not impressed by it's size.  I saved my chicken parm to take home and finish for dinner.  I purposefully only ate a little so I could have room for dessert, but the dessert was definately different since we worked at Carinos. Kindof a bummer, that they were out of TIRAMISU. What in the world??

Gary got chicken picata and the kids got pizza dippers.

After our lunch they took me to HEB and let me pick out a hanging basket for my back patio.  I'm easy to please.  Anddddd since the cheesecake I ordered was so tiny we ended up getting another whole cake. LOL!  oink.  It was just a little frozen turtle cheesecake, but we all had more dessert and laid around full for the rest of the day!

Happy Mother's Day to all my favorite moms!!

Mother's Day 2015

I enjoyed a fun day on the lake today for Mother's Day!

Gary got to do alittle wake boarding and I got to do some sun tanning.

We took snacks and drinks and pretty much spent all day on the water!

The kids tubed so much that the back of Layla's thighs got sunburned.  She's hating the burn, but she had so much fun on that tube with her buddies.

We did some floating in the water and jumping off the boat.

It was a great way to spend Mother's Day!  I'm so happy for the warm sun!  I feel like I got more sun here in Georgia in one day than I ever got in Ohio.  It's great to be back in the south!!

Mother's Day 2014

I had a great day with family and friends.

Gary cooked his first brisket since moving to Ohio.  He has been so busy with work and hasn't taken the time to smoke one.  It was so tasty!  I've missed it!  I made potato salad and beans too.  And of course deviled eggs.

The kids played outside all day long.  They will sleep great tonight!  The played in a giant inflatable ball.  It was so fun to watch them roll all around the yard!

Look how big this ball is?!?!

I'm so blessed with great friends!

I'm also blessed with great kiddos.  I love this two munchkins more than they will ever know!

I splurged and made a cheesecake.  I mean all moms need cheesecake on their day right??!?

It is the first time I baked a cheesecake and it came out of the oven with no cracks!  Gary even commented on how pretty it was, and it tasted even better.  I was in my happy place Saturday preparing all the food for Sunday.  I miss making big fun meals.  We've been so busy running from game to event to event.  It was nice to slow down for the weekend and just rest and enjoy our yard.  I'm excited for the lazy days of summer approaching!

Happy Mother's Day!!

one spoiled momma

The kids brought home fun treats for me this afternoon.

I love these hand-painted pots!

Layla gave me coupons and one is for a nap! whooo hoo!

Layla is the sweetest little lady.  I love that she thinks I am cool.  Sometimes I don't feel so cool!

Hayden is funny, he said my favorite store is Aldi and my favorite food is steak!  Sounds like his favorite food to me.

My favorite show is Duck Dynasty!  hahaha!!!  These questionaires are the best.

I am so excited to celebrate Mother's Day this weekend with my little family!!  I am blessed.

Mother's Day 2013

I woke up this morning to a Mother's Day facial.   Layla put Lily in our bed to wake me up.  Then the kids gave me art work they made for me.  It was a fun way to wake up.

We were all craving cheeseburgers, so we went to Steak n Shake and ate burgers, fries and shakes. Calories don't count on Mother's Day!  I got a red velvet shake and it was awesome!  I was so full and really didn't eat much the rest of the day.

Gary asked me what I wanted for Mother's Day this year and I had already mentioned a set of coffee mugs I saw at Sam's, so we picked those up.  I have also been wanting a grill.  Gary uses the smoker and charcoal grill, but I want a grill I can use at our new house on the covered porch.  I want to be able to grill all kinds of summer meals. Steaks and veggies and chicken and even grilled fruits.  We did a little grill shopping and I found the perfect one.  I wanted to cook on it today, but the wind was brutal and it was down right chilly.  We decided the cool weather wasn't the best for breaking in my new grill.  Instead we set it up and showed the pups around our new place.

I had a wonderful day with Gary, the kids and our pets.  I know I am so blessed and I am thankful.  I am very giddy with excitement about our new place.  I know it isn't our forever home, but I have just been so miserable in our current house.  It feels so weird.  I wish I could explain it, but basically I haven't liked this house from the second I walked in.

Our new house is quaint and it is surrounded by green grass and open space.  I am looking forward to cook outs with friends and tons of summer fun!  I am also very excited about seeing the sun set again.  I've mentioned it before, but I can't really see it right now living downtown.  I love the sun and can't wait to soak it up!  I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!

A preschool tea party

I was invited to a Mother's Day tea today!  It was the cutest thing ever.  All the moms in Hayden's preschool class attended a tea party and the kids entertained us while we ate homemade banana bread (by the kids)  mints and cookies.

They sang sappy, but adorable songs and participated in a skit.

We had our picture taken together for a memory book the kids have been making all year long!

I started tearing up when the kids sang a few of the songs.  They were so sweet and I am such a sap!

The kiddos acted out a version of The Three Little Pigs.  It really was so cute to see Hayden interact with the friends he talks about all the time!  I'm so thankful for his preschool and I'm happy to know he is ready for kindergarten because of his wonderful teachers.

Mother's Day weekend Recap

I started off Mother's Day weekend by having a girls night out.  I went to a friends house with a load of Thirty-One goodies.  I got to drink wine and eat yummy appetizers while I visited with some of my favorite girl friends!  It was cloudy and rainy and then suddenly this double rainbow appeared.

It was so pretty!

You have to look really hard to see the double part, but it's there.

Saturday morning we got up early and visited the farmers market I mentioned.  We bought fresh tamales and salsa and we also found lobster raviolis.  Everything we got was amazing and I can't wait to see what is available next weekend!

We picked up Gary's mom from her assisted living home.  She and Aunt Susan came over and we had a fish fry.  It was so yummy, but so filling.  I ate way too much.

I had such a fun time with my family.  I am so blessed!

We had white chocolate covered strawberries and coconut pie.  Mmmmm!  The pie was so good.  I wish I could say I made it, but I didn't.  I think I ate half of it myself.  No joke!

I was being goofy with the tulips Gary and the kids got me.  They also gave me a pretty charm bracelet, a hot pink work-out shirt and a blender.  I am so excited about my blender!

I know I shared these pictures on Facebook and twitter, but I wanted to share here too.

Gahhhh!  I don't know what it is about pictures of mom's with babies, but I love them!

I love this picture of me and my mom.

I spent today with my mom.  We had lunch and did some shopping.
It was fun to hang out, just she and I.

I had to share this super goofy picture of the kids and I.  The outtakes are always the best part of taking pictures.  The kids love to act silly when I'm begging them to sit right and smile.  So if you can't beat 'em join them right?  I'm pretty sure Daisy is biting Layla's finger.  It's hilarious!

Mother's Day 2012 was wonderful.  I am beyond blessed!
