A random warm day ...YAY!

The weather was perfect for the park this afternoon.  This coming weekend is going to be super cold, so we headed outside after school.  Sometimes you just have to put homework on the back burner!!  We needed some sunshine!  The kid all ran and played and kicked the soccer ball and played tag.  It was great to see and hear them out of breath!

pumpkin patch photo overload

Sunday we loaded up and drove to the nearest pumpkin patch.  I've been wanting pumpkins for the front porch, so why not make an event of it.

Gary warned the children about me and my camera.  HaHaHa!  They know I love taking pictures!

Look at my little pumpkin heads.  Oh how I love them!

You better believe I bought one of these white pumpkins.
I just love them and I love that they're flat-ish!

On our way to the corn maze we stumbled upon these three witches.

The kids giggled like crazy when they saw the skeleton in the witches stew pot!

These two are big buddies.  They're so alike it's crazy!  She looks like me, but acts like him!

This guy never stops running and he insisted on leading us through the maze.

Which way?  This way!!

This sweet donkey was very friendly!  .

The chickens were not friendly.  They were making all kinds of noise and they even pecked the finger of a little girl

Don't stick your finger through the cage...duh!  Hayden just talked to them and squawked back.  He's hilarious!

Every pumpkin patch must have a tractor!!

After we loaded all our pumpkins into the Jeep, the kids insisted on riding in the wagon.  You're never too old for a wagon ride. :-)

Of course Hayden ended up with a pumpkin that looks like a butt!  Goodness!

Downtown Woodstock is bursting with fall decor right now.  I went on Friday to get my hair done and I saw all the scarecrows lining the street and I knew I had to take the family downtown to explore!

I love taking a very quick selfie as we cross the train tracks, but the kids were clearly selfied out.  LOL!

Businesses all built scarecrows as advertisements.  Layla got tons of pictures, but my phone was about to die, so I only took a few shots.  It was fun looking at all the decorations and walking around on a pretty fall Sunday!

Silly little flexible girl.  She wasn't happy with this split, but she hadn't even stretched.

The kiddos couldn't wait to get home to paint their baby pumpkins.
I think they loved our Sunday!  I know I did!

Mother's Day 2015

I enjoyed a fun day on the lake today for Mother's Day!

Gary got to do alittle wake boarding and I got to do some sun tanning.

We took snacks and drinks and pretty much spent all day on the water!

The kids tubed so much that the back of Layla's thighs got sunburned.  She's hating the burn, but she had so much fun on that tube with her buddies.

We did some floating in the water and jumping off the boat.

It was a great way to spend Mother's Day!  I'm so happy for the warm sun!  I feel like I got more sun here in Georgia in one day than I ever got in Ohio.  It's great to be back in the south!!

Monday Funday

Gary and I went to Top Golf again yesterday.  The kiddos had to go to school and they were both trying to talk us into skipping school.  No way Jose!!

We met my Aunt and Uncle there!  They're here in GA visiting from Texas!

It is so beautiful here in GA with no rain in the forecast!  It's been so rainy lately.  You bet your last dollar Gary and I took the top off the Jeep!  Woohoo!  It felt amazing to have the sun on our bodies!

Auntie and Donny Ray came over for a few hours to visit with the kiddos. It was a fun day Monday indeed!

Amicalola Falls and Stringer Mountain

We had a fun Sunday exploring Georgia with our buddies!

We met a fun couple who love the outdoors as much as we do.  They have  kids basically the same ages as our kids, and they have a Jeep!

They knew we would love exploring Amicalola Falls and they also knew we'd love driving the Jeep up to Stringer Mountain.  Once we got to the top in the Jeeps we did some hiking and had a picnic lunch.

Love these kiddos.  They all had so much fun!

The sun was shining bright so we took the T-tops off the Jeeps and let the sun shine in.  It was a gorgeous day with abundant sun and a slight breeze.  At the top of the mountain though it was chilly.  The wind was really whipping.

The kiddos loved the tops off because they were sticking their heads out and talking to us one Jeep back!

Of course we had to stop for a second so I could get a picture of this lovely stream!

WooHooo!  Jeepin'!

All the kiddos were so nice to strike a pose for me every once in awhile.  They know I love taking pics while out exploring nature!

These boys are one year apart, but the are both equally full of energy!  The both love running and playing with any ball they can get their hands on.  They are both named Hayden too!

The girls are soccer teammates, that is how we all met!

We are so thankful for fun friends we have met here in Georgia and they are so nice to help us get to know our area.  I'm sure we will be doing tons more Jeepin' and exploring soon.  They love to camp just as much as we do.

I think it is going to be a fun summer for our family!
I may be a Texas girl, but Georgia's beauty is really taking a place in my heart!  It's breathtaking to see all the tall trees, giant lakes and huge mountains.
I'm in love with my new state!  ;)
