weekend fun

My iPhone broke last weekend and nothing could be done for it.

I haven't had bluetooth or Wifi since last Sunday so I called Apple and they told me to head to their store in Austin, so we did.  I made an appointment and they were so nice.  They replaced my phone and were wonderful to work with.

We had the best time exploring and playing!  We went to Apple, Lululemon, Brighton and Kendra Scott.  We explored the outdoor mall and it was awesome for Layla and I.  Gary and Hayden were there for the ride and I'll say they were great sports!

We'd been dying to try 600 degrees pizza place in Georgetown, so on the way back home we ate giant slices of pizza.  It was wonderful!

I loved my salad and cheeseburger pizza.

Hayden's piece was giant, but he finished it and was shocked he did.  His tummy was full for hours.

And of course we HAD to stop at Bucee's!

heading back home

We are very thankful for our time in the Colorado mountains.

On the last day we ate yummy food and did lots of shopping.

Gary took this postcard worthy picture and I'm in love.

We are hitting the road now for home.  I'm grateful home has a new feeling now than it did a year ago.  We are going home to our new home.  We are feeling settled since buying a house.  We won't be moving from state to state and we will be cherishing every memory we make.  These babies aren't babies anymore and they will be driving and going to college before we know it.  So for now, we're enjoying every trip, every activity and loving this life God gave us.

Drive west Sipes fam

We are moving. We had a driveway party with our favorite neighbors.  The kids had their last day of school at Bascomb.   We ate at all our favorite Georgia eateries.  We played at our favorite park one last time and said goodbye to many friends we made the last year and a half.

We have had quite the adventure.  We are all packed up and our moving truck is heading to Texas, but we have been stuck in Louisiana in flood waters.  We stayed in a nasty hotel because that is all that was left due to all the other stranded travelers.  We are in separate cars so driving in the pouring rain has been quite the challenge for me.  I'm not a fan.

Hayden barfed in the hotel bed and isn't feeling well.  We have two pups that are being awesome, but could not potty due to the horrible rain.  I feel bad for them.

Of all the moves this one has been the most challenging.  It is all for good reason.  We are moving home.   We are moving back to Waco where Gary and I met.  We will make it through anything to get back home!!  The kids are cheering for us!  They are ready to be back in Texas with family!

Valentine's Day 2016

The kids think it's funny that it seems like we always travel on holidays.  V-day isn't a holiday for real, but it is sorta!  We are on a road trip to Texas to visit family and friends.

It only took us about 1 hour to cross into Alabama!

And then Mississippi.

Louisiana was the most boring drive.  The roads were awful and so bumpy!

On this Valentine's day trip I discovered conversations hearts don't taste like they tasted when I was a kid.  Gag!

There is that beautiful sunset I have missed so much.  Good ole Texas doesn't need a sign, the sun in all it's beauty is our welcome to the Lone Star State!

tagging along with dad

Gary has a dealership in Huntsville AL and we tagged along with him to swim in the hotel pool!

Along the way we stopped to check out the Unclaimed Baggage Center in Scottsboro.  I didn't get the orange memo....the kiddos blended in with the sign!  It's hilarious.

We heard about the Unclaimed Baggage Center on the Today Show and since we were passing through we stopped to see if there were any great deals.  It was basically like a big yard sale.  Some things were great deals and others were over priced.  Honestly I just needed more time to shop, but I wasn't in a browsing mood that day, so we just skimmed around the store.  Gary found a cool watch and Hayden found a football.  We bought a few things and then headed back out on the road to Hunstville.

Layla is just looking so grown up.  She loved the hotel and its totally modern look, so she wanted to pose for a few pictures.  She's a good sport for letting me take some pictures.

Our kids love hotel stays.  They love exploring new places.

Hayden's poses lately are .... well.  I just don't know what to say.  He's a goof ball and doesn't want me taking his photo every 5 minutes.

I like hotel stays because I get to try out fun workout equipment.  I didn't get but about 20 minutes in, but hey, it's better than no workout!

The kids just lounged around and watched TV.  I would have loved to really workout, but they got bored and I get that, so we headed out to the pool for a swim.

Of course we visited dad at work and met all his coworkers.  Hayden climbs on whatever bikes or 4 wheelers he can.  He's itching to ride!!

We enjoyed trying a new restaurant when Gary got off work!  It was Mexican food and it was very delicious!

The kids and I had fun lounging around.  We dropped Gary off at work and when we stopped to get coffee Gary got them Starburst.  For breakfast.  Goodness gracious.  These two kiddos love them some candy.

We had a fun few days out with dad.  I'm glad the kids get to see where he works an what he does every day.  I think they get a better understanding of how hard he works and they get why sometimes he works so much.  We are thankful for our hard working man!!

i must explain my silence....

We moved!  To Georgia!

Here are the kiddos on their last day of school in Ohio last Friday!

This is a picture of them yesterday on their first day of school here in Georgia!

Their first and second days at their new school went great.  I'm so relieved.

It has been a fast and furious few weeks since Halloween.  Somehow I need to post all the pictures I took in between now and then, but unpacking is my priority.  Oh unpacking....  Yuck, but I'll feel so much better when it's over.

I'll post more about our move and all our adventures soon!

They grew in a week!

Gary got home last night from a 10 day businees trip to Sturgis.  We missed him so much!!!!!  He's a hard worker, this man of mine.  He gave big hugs and then asked to measure the kiddos.  He said they look taller.  I'm so happy he's on vacation this next week before school starts.  He needs a break from work and we need him to play with us the last week of summer!!

Moms night away!

I dropped these little dumplings off at school on Friday and headed to Columbus for the night!

We celebrated my friend Erin's friend Josette's birthday! I'm so happy I got to tag along and get to know my besties friends better.

After our night out we woke up and headed to breakfast and Target. We don't have a Target in our town and I MISS IT SO MUCH!

I ate all the food in the word. It was so fun to let loose and not count calories!

I also drank several adult beverages! This was a Girl Scout cookie. Mmmmm! It was so tasty.

I'm thankful for a wonderful husband who took off work early to hang out with the kids! He travels so much and for me to travel was awesome for a change.

More beach fun and pizza night

Ahhhh!  I love waking up to this view!

The kids slept in until almost 9:30 this morning.  They woke up and had sweets for breakfast.  While Gary and I had coffee from our Keurig (yes we decided to travel with it) Hayden ate zebra cakes and Layla ate chocolate chip cookies.  Hey Jack, we're on vacation!!

We picked out and rented our spot for the week!  I just love it!

I just love my little surfer dude.

The kids loved high tide because it was fun to watch the waves wreck their creations.  They weren't a fan of the huge waves knocking them down though.

The waves were incredible.

These three are my whole heart.  All is good with my world when we are all together.  Family vacations just the four of us are so important to Gary and I.  We enjoy just hanging out and relaxing as a family with no worries!

And then the cartwheels started!

It was awesome!

I think this is my favorite picture I have taken so far.  I will forever remember the awesome conversations and relaxation Gary and I felt while watching our kids play in the sand.

Today after our beach time and a quick dip in the pool we decided to visit a really cool Italian food restaurant. It was rated my Golf Digest magazine as one of best!  It's called Benito's BrickOven.  We all shared fried calamari and the kids got a pizza with black olives and pepperoni and Gary and I got a chicken parmigiana pizza.  It was amazing!

We brought pizza home to the resort for a beach picnic tomorrow.
