17 years ago at sunrise Gary forgot to bring the ring to the ceremony. He left me standing on the sandy beach while I watched him walk back up the boardwalk & upstairs to the hotel room to get my ring. Oh y'all, it seemed like it took him forever to return and we joke to this day he contemplated calling a cab and running! I'm so thankful for all our adventures. It's never dull and marriage takes work, but I can't imagine doing this life with anyone else.

42!
Gary is 42 years old!!
We are expecting snow here in Georiga! As the clouds began to move into the area we decided to stay close to celebrate. There is a Longhorn Steakhouse nearby, so we all ate steaks.
The bread was so delicious. I made sure I just ate one piece 'cause I could have taken down the whole loaf with that warm sweet butter.
My food was out of the world delicious, but it didn't photograph well at all. It's actually quite disgusting looking. I got a fillet topped with lobster and hollandaise sauce. It was sitting on asparagus and served with mashed potatoes. It was a great steak full of flavor and yummy lobster pieces. Gary ordered a ribeye and he enjoyed it. He is kind of a steak snob. He prefers to grill steak at home so it's cooked to his liking. He was pleasantly surprised by a nice juicy steak!
The kiddos ordered smoothies as their drink and they were topped with whipped cream and cherries. It seemed like they ordered dessert first! We had a nice birthday dinner and then we headed home to sit by the fire. The weather is nice and cold and perfect for some snow. We are hoping to get snow tonight since we had a snow day today. The kids were home from school and watched for snow all day long, but all we got was rain. Hopefully they will wake up to some white stuff to play in!
Happy Birthday to Gary!

date night to celebrate 15
Gary and I celebrated our anniversary last night with a fun night out!
We went to 4 or 5 different places around town. We ate appetizers and had beverages and great conversation. It's been 15 years since we said 'I DO' on the beach at sunrise.
Time flies when you're having fun! I wouldn't trade my friendship with my husband for anything!

playing with pancakes
As you all know, Gary is the pancake maker of our house. He loves making them on the weekends when he's off work. We all look forward to it. Well, he saw a video on Facebook of someone creating fun shapes and images with batter, so he wanted to try it! We loved the idea.
I think he did a great job! He made pretty much anything the kids and I asked for. I love my cute diamond ring. He made a Christmas tree too.
Hayden asked for a football. Go Bears!!
Here is a fun man before he got flipped over!
We just love playing with and of course eating our food.

what are you doing dad?
Ummm, that would be ironing.
Something only your dad does.
Momma doesn't like to iron and if I have to I'd prefer to take my clothes to the dry cleaners. Good thing I wear workout clothes, dresses and jeans almost every day!
Gary and I laughed so hard over the fact that the children haven't seen us iron in ages!

Days off!
I really enjoyed spending the day with Gary yesterday!
He works or travels on Saturdays, so I get him all to myself while the kids are in school on Mondays.
Sometimes we golf. Sometimes we shop. Sometimes we do yard work, but it's nice to have had a day date yesterday. We sat outside in the fall air at The Boathouse. We shared a plate of nachos and had fun conversations about our kiddos!
I enjoy dating my husband, and I'm glad we still enjoy each other after all these years!

14 years ago on the beach at sunrise I married my best friend!
These are awful pictures of pictures, but I had to post them.
We look like babies.
I love our wedding scrap book. I created it myself, long before I ever thought about keeping up with our family blog.
We made a fun trip of our wedding. We had tons of fun!
Gosh I love this man! He's definitely my soul mate!
Look....we even took a selfie, all the way back in 2000!
Happy Anniversary Gary Sipes!!

They grew in a week!
Gary got home last night from a 10 day businees trip to Sturgis. We missed him so much!!!!! He's a hard worker, this man of mine. He gave big hugs and then asked to measure the kiddos. He said they look taller. I'm so happy he's on vacation this next week before school starts. He needs a break from work and we need him to play with us the last week of summer!!

Daddy's home!
It's that time of year again...
Airshow time!!!
We are loving watching the planes fly over the house!
Daddy is home and that means donuts on Saturday morning!
It also means daddy is making our first batch of chili for the year. I am beyond thrilled to be dining on chili tonight and we are trying a new recipe! I'm also thrilled Gary is cooking instead of me!

12 years ago today
we said "I do" at sunrise on the beach. I think I love my husband more today than I did then!
Gary,
Thank you so much for being an amazing husband, father and provider for our family. I am so thankful to be blessed with your friendship. You truly are my best friend. I pray every day that our kids are blessed with spouses that love them unconditionally the way we love one another.
Happy 12 years daddy and here's to many many many more!

Gary's 20 year high school class reunion
Gary and I had a fun adult weekend in Waco celebrating at his 20 year class reunion.
It was so fun to see all the friends Gary has talked about for the past 16 years I have known him.
We started the weekend Friday playing a round of golf. I had a great time practicing my swing and laughing at myself. I actually didn't play too bad and I'm looking forward to playing golf again
soon.
Friday and Saturday nights we hung out with all his old buddies and caught up with all his friends. It was a really fun weekend!
The kids had fun spending the weekend at my parents house.
I was so excited to see them this morning. I missed them but am thankful for the break!
As you can tell, I really didn't go crazy with the camera this weekend. I just chilled out and took it all in. It was nice to sit back and relax and listen to all the tall tales of Gary's younger years. I am so exhausted from staying up late two nights in a row. I am looking forward to watching gymnastics on TV and getting into my cozy bed tonight!
