in our pajamas

This post is a post in which every sentence should be followed by

IN OUR PAJAMAS!!

Ready, set, GO......

This weekend was freezing cold her in Georgia.  We pretty much hibernated all weekend long and didn't leave the house.  We are on a 'saving money' mission and so we did everything fun here at home we could think of.

We played Life!

They played Legos and the used a Home Depot box to set up Lego scenes.

We did gymnastics and worked on our flexibility.

We read books.

We played on our iPads.

We ate decorator dogs, otherwise known as hot dogs with all kinds of toppings.

We played poker.

Hayden kicked his feet back while eating popcorn.

We played multiple games of checkers.

The mini chef made cupcakes.

They were cute and tasted amazing!

We had a fun weekend just the four of us...... In our pajamas!

Sunday was a funday indeed

We had a fun fall Sunday.  We had a fire to end the day and Hayden decided to protect his head with his motorcycle helmet.  His feet, legs and arms are all bare, but the face is all good. LOL!

Silly silly boy!

We went to the park and the kids took a pretty deflated soccer ball to kick around.  They ended up playing volley ball and Layla screamed out, "pass interference!!"  Oh me oh my, the children are funny today huh?!?

We ran off some much needed energy!

I'm going backwards in picture order.  We had cheeseburgers for lunch.  We took a drive and were hoping to find a hidden gem of a burger spot on the back roads of Georgia, but we struck out.  We ended up downtown for a late lunch/early dinner.  We tried a cheeseburger place we have been curious about since we moved here.

Let me start by saying the food was great.  The fries were crispy and the burger was very delicious.

I was annoyed by the cleanliness of the restaurant though.  The bathroom was a wreck and we had to ask for toilet paper and the teenager we asked was just rude.  I told her bathroom didn't have toilet paper and she said, "ok!"  She kept on doing whatever she was doing.  She wasn't concerned about TP at all.  When we went to order our food., the boy behind the counter was not helpful at all and it was our first time to eat there.  He wasn't in the mood to answer questions about the menu and in his defence it is a cheeseburger, how do you mess that up?  BUT come on, have some personality.  Anyway, the tables were all dirty and Gary and I were just plain ole disappointed.  We had higher expectations ya know. We just need to open a restaurant!  We'd love it!

After we ate our burgers on the patio we headed to the cupcake shop a few shops down the street.  They were out of cupcakes.  LOL!  We pretty much struck out downtown today, but it's all good.  We still had a fun time.

After sleeping in we started off our day with coffee by our first fire.  We decided to light a fire to warm up because we had a frost warning.  IT was chilly indeed and we loved it.  As you can see below, Daisy loved it too.  She's such a little ham-bone, posing like a movie start princess puppy!

I'm thankful for a fun Sunday with all my people and furry animals.  I don't take a second of life for granted.  I am thankful and I know I am truly blessed!

snow day turned snow days

This is our third snow day this week and we got tons of snow for Georgia!

The snow flakes were so stinkin' big!  I can't remember ever seeing flakes that large in Ohio.

Gary was home from work due to the terrible roads, so you know it must be bad.

He had fun playing with the kids and even caught a few flakes.

My fleece hat and jacket were covered in snowflakes.  I couldn't believe how fast the snow was coming down!!

We had a fun day playing in the snow and it was really pretty, but I'll be happy when it melts and spring has sprung!

snow day!!

It snowed in the middle of the night and we have a nice coating of snow!

The snow made Lily super hyper and spastic.  She was running around the yard and the deck like a mad woman.

Daisy Mae was not loving the snow.  She's a princess and hates to have wet paws.

I love this picture of her looking down the stairs!

Lily sat on the stairs and watched the action down below.  She's a great babysitter because I was cold!  I didn't want any part of being out in the snow.  I got my fill of that in Ohio.

The kids decided to sled down our sidewalk in the backyard.

I have to admit it looked fun until the snow and ice melted.  Then the sliding wasn't going so well and they had to move onto another fun activity.

Like building a snow ghost with a pinecone 'bow'.  Ha!  Silly girl!

Hayden found a fun pine cone treasure.  It was pretty cool!

After lunch they headed back out for some sledding in the front yard.  They made tons of snowballs with plans of tossing them at people as they walked down the street, but no one ever walked by.

We had a fun first day of snow here in our new house in our new state!

Winter Break with my parents

My parents came to GA for their first visit.  The kids had the week off school so it was a perfect time!

We took them to our favorite breakfast restaurant, as well as other good restaurants we have explored in our new town.

The guys cooked chili and it was so delicious!  Hayden wore his brand new apron that Netsie made him.  He's turning out to be a great cook!

Us girls did girl stuff like hair conditioning and eyebrow waxing while the guys went to the Glock factory.

Hayden looks so official with his badge.

Lily and Daisy had a fun week too with my parents around.

We explored a local gun range and it was very nice and women shoot free on Thursday.

My dad helped me learn about my gun.  He is a great teacher and knows tons about guns.  It's a great hobby to have!

The kids sat with us while we shot and they were so curious.  It was so cold in the range, and they did great even with the cold temps.  I'm so thankful we have the right to be educated about guns and gun safety.  This range even offers a gun safety class for kids.

After shooting we ate a yummy Mexican lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant.  I had chicken tacos and they were amazing and very fresh.  I love their beans and I hope to make a batch as good as theirs soon.  I can't wait!

We had a fun week even though the weather was yucky and cold most of the time.  We're still anxiously waiting for spring weather!  Thanks for the fun visit Netsie and DeDe!
