More Yogurt!!

Hayden begged me to take him for frozen yogurt since Layla and Daddy went on Sunday!

Coincidentally the new frozen yogurt place in town is right by Layla's tumbling studio, so while she was flipping around we got a cold treat!

I got cake batter yogurt and I also got salted carmel pretzel.  Mmmmm!  It was so good.

Hayden also got cake batter and a flavor called tart.  He was making the funniest sour faces.  He ate every single bite of his yogurt.  He's a growing boy with a big appetite.  I was actually shocked, because he doesn't have a big sweet tooth.  I guess he was hungry from a long day at school.  I too ate every bite, but that isn't rare for me!  Mmmmm!  I love yogurt!

Daddy and daughter yogurt date!

Friday night at Layla's school there was a Father/Daughter dance, but Layla didn't want to go.  I was shocked, but she said she'd rather her daddy take her on a real date.

They got all dressed up and headed out to the local frozen yogurt place.  It was so cute!!

They each piled their cups full of yummy goodness and I'm pretty sure Layla overloaded her cup with candy candy and more candy.

After their date they met up with Hayden and I at the soccer fields.  I'm so glad they got some much needed alone time.  I think it's important to have one on one time with our kiddos!

double header

Hayden has two soccer games this weekend.  One today and one tomorrow.  He's so much better this season and he's so fun to watch on the field!  We're having a fun season and enjoying the great spring weather!

my new favorite chicken

I recently discovered a new slow cooker chicken dish and I have to share it.

I feel like maybe I'm the last to know about this recipe and that is OK, but I know one of the four people who read my blog will not have eaten this, so I'm sharing!!

You need:

2 cups of water
One packet of taco seasoning
One packet of ranch seasoning

I used 8 boneless skinless chicken tenders, but you can also use boneless skinless chicken breasts.

Place the chicken in the slow cooker.  In a separate bowl mix all the other ingredients and pour over the chicken.  Cook on low for 4 hours or until chicken is done!

I cook the chicken and shred it, but you don't have to.  You can eat whole chicken breasts cooked in this mixture.  It's just so good. The possibilities are endless!

family game night

I have to be honest.  I don't like the toddler games we have played in years past.  Candyland and Shutes n Ladders get old fast, because I think the kids cheat.  These cames don't challege us and then I get bored.  I'm competitive and want to play more challenging games. Heck,  I'm even tired of HeadBands.

Gary and I decided to introduce the kids to dominos.  Hayden loves couting and he has been begging to play dominos again since we first played.  We had a blast playing Jenga.  I'm ready to teach the kids Hearts and Spades too!

He's so serious, but then the tower fell.....

And then we started all over again!

What are your favorite 'bigger' family games?

whipped cream cheese, i love you!

I'm obsessed with cream cheese.  I know they make whipped cream cheese, but I refuse to buy it because I will eat the entire tub myself with a spoon.  I bought some and decided to practice self control.

Look, I got only one tablespoon.  It was so good with a fresh juicy apple!  This is my new favorite snack.

broken bunny

I saw this cute bunny centerpiece idea on pinterest and decided I could do that!  It was pretty easy and inexpensive.  I was like a little kid (in a candy store...har har) and kinda proud of my sweet little bunny.

As you know yesterday was April first and well, that means people mess with people.  The kids were dying to eat my bunny and all the jelly beans in the bottom, but I just knew they wouldn't ruin my cute little creation.  But someone did??!!?  And it was my husband.  He bit the ear off of my bunny sometime during the day yesterday and I finally saw it this morning.

He broke my sweet bunny.  Heeeheee!  Payback.  He'll be paid back with a prank from me when he least expects it!
