air fyer love

I used my instant pot and my air fryer for our wings tonight.  I think they look so yummy and they tasted even better!

Acquiring and using kitchen gadgets is my obsession!

These wings were cooked fully in the instant pot and then I crisped them up in my air fryer.  Y'all....so good and so fun!  I'm in love! Now I'm just searching for more recipes to try!

Date night and a new place

I love being able to sneak away for a few hours with Gary to have dinner.

We have been wanting to try this new place in Waco, and Friday nights are perfect for date nights.

We sat at the bar for a drink and then headed to a table for dinner.  The bar was the best part in my opinion.  The drinks and chips were the highlight of my night.

I got some sort of beef fajita tacos drizzled with queso and it was only OK.  I was not impressed.  I usually love Mexican food, but this wasn't my favorite.  I think this is a good spot for drinks and then head to another venue for dinner time!

Gary said his food was pretty tasty.  He ordered one of their signature dishes and I think he's on to something.  They spend special time and attention on some things and I think that makes them better!

I've heard so many good things about Hecho and then to be disappointed bums me out.  I think my expectations were high from all the hype.  I will go back, but I just wanted to be blown away!  Haha!

cavities say what?

We are getting stuff done before school starts back up.  In December we found out Layla had her first cavity and Hayden has another one.  He's had 3 tiny cavities so he knows the drill however they never used gas on him until today.

Layla was very nervous.  Can you tell by her face?

She said the gas tickled her tummy. She got her cavity filled and found out it was no big deal.  She was nervous for no reason.

Hayden didn't say much about the gas.  He just laid back and rested.

All teeth are good now.  Here's to no more cavities!!!!

heading back home

We are very thankful for our time in the Colorado mountains.

On the last day we ate yummy food and did lots of shopping.

Gary took this postcard worthy picture and I'm in love.

We are hitting the road now for home.  I'm grateful home has a new feeling now than it did a year ago.  We are going home to our new home.  We are feeling settled since buying a house.  We won't be moving from state to state and we will be cherishing every memory we make.  These babies aren't babies anymore and they will be driving and going to college before we know it.  So for now, we're enjoying every trip, every activity and loving this life God gave us.

Happy New Year from Crested Butte

I can't think of a more fun NYE than skiing with my favorites!

These guys ripped it up and skiied hard.  I'm so proud of them!

We all met at the Umbrella bar at the top of the mountain for lunch.

The skiing has been great, but we don't have any snow and it's melting.  I'm thankful we are leaving soon and hope next time we have more snow!!

Oh my I love these people so much!

Layla and I are on the same page.  We let the guys go nuts and we stay back and cruise.   Layla will be a fast skier one day, but I enjoy going slow and steady!

We had a fun NYE with friends.

We ate good tamales and tacos.  We played games.  We toasted the new year and stayed in until we heard the fireworks.  Even then we just stepped outside and peaked off the balcony of the condo.

Happy Happy 2018 y'all!!
