Thanksgiving 2014

Our little family had a great first Thanksgiving here in Georgia!

My cousin just moved here about a month ago and we're so thrilled to be close to him!  I hadn't seen him in over 3 years and now he's just a few towns away from us.

My Auntie and Uncle Donny Ray came to visit from Texas so we got to see them too!  It was such a fun time for all of us.  The kiddos had a great time and I'm pretty sure we all did!  We have so much to be Thankful for that's for SURE!

Monday Funday!

The first day of Thanksgiving break calls for cupcakes doesn't it?

Layla decided on  a cookies n cream filled cupcake, and Hayden wanted strawberry with white fluffy icing.

Hayden's cupcake was the best!  I loved it and wish I would have picked it for myself!  It reminded me of strawberry milk. Mmmmm!

My cupcake was hazelnut flavor with a chocolate rose and Gary's was peanut butter with chocolate cake topped with a cookie.  We are so excited to have an awesome bakery in our neighborhood grocery store.  I'm not the best baker, so having a fun bakery nearby will be a great treat!!

carpool line faces

We have to wake up sooooo early for school in our new town.

Look at their sleepy faces!

School starts at 7:30am.

In Ohio school started at 9:00.

I have to get my hiney to bed at night or I can't function.  The kiddos are worn out from adjusting to our new schedule, but I think it is so fun to be done with school before 2:30.  It feels like we have all afternoon to play and do errands and homework.

Unpacking and getting settled

I am sitting down in front of the fire tonight.  I have been working and working and working on unpacking this house and I am exhausted!

The kids rooms are slowly coming around.  We still have to hang curtains, but slowly we are feeling more at home.

Both kids are loving their new rooms.  We all love the carpet and the pups love their fenced yard.  No more dog collars beeping at them to stay in their 'area.'  It's a fun house and soon we will be completely unpacked!  It's refeshing to have an attached garage and space for everything again.  We feel more at home with every passing day!

Dad's day

Hayden's school had a dad appreciation day and I am so thankful Gary was able to attend.
It was early in the morning and they served donuts for the kiddos and coffee for the dads.

Hayden drew a picture of his dad!

Gary texted me both pictures!  I love this selfie of my guys.  Gary got to meet a few dads, so that was a bonus.  We're excited about this new school and I think it's a great thing that the dad's day was on the second day of school for Hayden!  I think it helped him feel more at home to have Gary there!

i must explain my silence....

We moved!  To Georgia!

Here are the kiddos on their last day of school in Ohio last Friday!

This is a picture of them yesterday on their first day of school here in Georgia!

Their first and second days at their new school went great.  I'm so relieved.

It has been a fast and furious few weeks since Halloween.  Somehow I need to post all the pictures I took in between now and then, but unpacking is my priority.  Oh unpacking....  Yuck, but I'll feel so much better when it's over.

I'll post more about our move and all our adventures soon!
