My favorite holiday

I just love Thanksgiving.

Lily does too.
he pups are waiting for Gary to drop something while carving the turkey.
Look at her tongue sticking out.

I'm super thankful for our new home this year. We are loving it and we are happy to have invited family to join us in our turkey day feast!

Look at the adorable bottles my momma made me for decor.  I'm going to keep them around all year long, I just love them!

I love food!

I'm so excited we are sitting on our deck. Gary and his awesome buddies build us a deck and we are loving it.  We plan to finish staining it in a few months, but for now it is a wonderful addition to our backyard.  The pups are loving laying on it and sunbathing.

We are blessed and so thankful!

Thanksgiving 2016

We had a great day celebrating the turkey!!

After lunch Layla and I had some time together on the hammock.  It was super fun and a time I'll never forget.  She's a sweetie and I'm so thankful for her and our conversations.

Hayden was a busy boy between watching football, playing corn hole and throwing the football, but he managed to lay on the hammock with me for a bit too. {longest run on sentence ever}

I loved that we enjoyed our day in Clifton Texas.  I can't remember the last time I celebrated Thanksgiving in Clifton.  I was super young though!  I love my little hometown and I'm thankful my Aunt and Uncle still live there so I can share C-town with them!

Layla and I found this cute turkey on Pinterest.
We totally copied the post and made our own veggie turkey!

I'm thankful for today, but I am thankful every single day.  I want to teach my babies gratefulness.  I want them to know true joy and I think that comes from being thankful for what you have.  There is ALWAYS something to be thankful for!

don't forget my favorite

It's that time of the year again.  It's the time of the year when people start putting up their CHRISTMAS TREES!

What in the world? It's the first week of November!!!

If you know me you know I love food.  Thanksgiving is my ALL TIME favorite holiday and I just can't forget it!  However, this is my opinion and I'm cool with whatever you do in your house, but dang it..... after the election and all the hateful talk I think we all could use a dose of gratefulness.  AM I RIGHT?!!

peace.love.thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving 2014

Our little family had a great first Thanksgiving here in Georgia!

My cousin just moved here about a month ago and we're so thrilled to be close to him!  I hadn't seen him in over 3 years and now he's just a few towns away from us.

My Auntie and Uncle Donny Ray came to visit from Texas so we got to see them too!  It was such a fun time for all of us.  The kiddos had a great time and I'm pretty sure we all did!  We have so much to be Thankful for that's for SURE!

Thanksgiving 2013

We started our Thanksgiving day with traditional mimosas.

The kids were big helpers in the kitchen!  They had so much fun cooking with us.

I did what I normally do each Thanksgiving.  I eat at least 3 or 4 plates of food.  I love to put the food away on my favorite holiday.  It's the one day I really eat a ton of food!

We had a fun day celebrating and watching football.

I love my family!  We are blessed!

Thanksgiving 2012

We took a few pictures today with our Canon camera.  Look out!  It hasn't gotten much use lately.

IT was a great day....Our first Thanksgiving in Ohio.

Gary cooked the turkey and it turned out fabulous!

I made dressing and all the sides in the world.

It was a delicious meal.  The kids loved helping us cook.  They are at fun ages for cooking.

I ate so much food I am having a hard time moving tonight.
I can't help it.  Thanksgiving is the one day a year I eat like a mad woman.  I could win an eating contest.  I out ate everyone in this house and I'm not ashamed.  I love Thanksgiving.  It is my favorite holiday!

We did a little exploring after lunch.  We all needed some exercise after all that eating!

We found this house.  I would love to own the house of seven porches.  Too bad it isn't for sale.   I love porches so much.

The kids had fun playing at the park.  Layla and Hayden are like a bunch of monkeys.  They love the monkey bars!

Daisy Mae went on our walk with us.  She lost her mind chasing squirrels.  She actually thought she was gonna get her one.  Look at this side walk.  It's so cool!

I just love this town.  It is so storybook and gorgeous.  I can't wait until it snows.  I will go crazy with the camera for sure.  Next time we go on a walk I need to take the 'good' camera!  There are so many great photo ops here.

We had a fun day and I am so thankful for all we have and have to look forward to.

I hope you had a great day!

happy Thanksgiving eve

We had a fun full day of cooking.  The kids were great helpers to me today!

We made sausage balls, but I added cream cheese

a pumpkin pie and a pecan pie

and a batch of trash *AKA* Charlie Brown chex mix!

I also baked corn bread for the dressing I am making in the morning. I can't wait for cornbread dressing.  It is my favorite Thanksgiving dish!

the Thanksgiving holiday starts now

We are so excited about Thanksgiving and making pies and Chex mix tomorrow!  School is out for the rest of the week.  Layla and Hayden are going to help me make all our yummy pies tomorrow.  We've also decided to make sausage balls too.

Let the eating begin!  Whoop!

fuller than a tick

Wow, you guys may need to grab the thermometer.

I think I am sick.

This is the only picture I took all.day.long.  It is so not like me.

It is a mighty nice looking picture, but seriously.  I had tons of people to photograph today.

I'm quite sure I didn't take any pictures because I was too busy stuffing my face with food.  I ate more in the last two days than I have eaten in years.  I'm not sure what I was trying to prove, but I am sick and feel yucky.  Tomorrow I think I will eat cereal all day long.

We are putting up our Christmas trees and decorations tomorrow.  Hopefully I will work off the extra pounds I put on over the last few days.  The kids were so excited when they went to bed.  They can't wait to decorate the house for Christmas.  I'm just as excited as they are.

Have a great weekend!
