bacon egg and cheese biscuit muffins

I have been loving Pinterest.
I pin all kinds of recipes that look delicious.  It is dangerous for me...haha!

I pinned this recipe.

I was so excited when I made it because it was so easy and super yummy.  I just had to share it.  It is the perfect recipe for new parents.  I remember being so hungry in the morning after a long sleepless night.  One meal that we received after Hayden was born was fresh hot muffins, sausage balls and a container of orange juice.  These muffins would be awesome too.

Bacon egg and cheese biscuit nuffins.

I made the recipe exactly as it reads.  Typically I change something, but this time I didn't.

You will need :

3 eggs (beaten)
3 TBS milk
1/3 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
4 slices of bacon
and
salt and pepper.

You will also need 1 package of biscuit dough...10 biscuits.

I flattened out the biscuits and put them into the bottom of a muffin tin.

Then, I topped the raw biscuits with cheese.

And then poured the egg and milk mixture over the cheese and biscuits.
Don't over fill the muffin tins or it will be very messy.

Then I topped the mixture with bacon pieces.

Bake on 400 for 10-12 minutes.

I made these and banana nut muffins for breakfast and we were all happy!

Go visit the website Cooking with my Kid.  I printed the recipe from the website.
And there are many other fun recipes there too.

I am a sucker for breakfast.  I just love breakfast foods.

I am loving that the kids are out of school because they are here to eat all the recipes I am trying this summer.  I feel like I have more time to cook the summer.  I love it!

What have you been cooking this summer?

A fun play date with new friends

Last Wednesday the kids and I visited Erin, Mauri and Britton at their house.

Erin and I met through twitter/blogging. We have been out to dinner several times with a group of ladies for girls night out.  I have been wanting to get our girls together to play.  Layla is about to turn 6 years old and Britton will be 5 soon.  I just knew they would get along great!

Look at these 2 cuties!

They look like Charlies Angels holding these yummy Popsicles. haha!

Cupcake break!!!

Look at sweet Mauri eating her cupcake in the pool.

Oh she is just too cute!!

She loves splashing in the water and she is so brave!!

I can still hear the happy squeals coming from these little sweeties!

They had so much fun giggling and being silly!  Britton is a great swimmer, so it was good for Layla to see her in action. It gave Layla confidence to branch out and splash around a bit more.  She acutally did great!  I was so happy to see her doing so well in the water.

Hayden was out numbered being the only boy, but I secretly think he liked it :)

Thanks Erin for inviting us over...we can't wait to play with y'all again soon!

weekend on the lake

Gary and I had met a group of our friends for our annual 'adult only' lake escape.

We look forward to seeing our friends every year for a weekend in the summer.

We enjoy kid free conversation, lots of lake time, boating, and anything that means relaxing.

I had fun taking a few pictures, but I mostly relaxed and left the camera in the cabin.

While we were out on the boat skiing we saw these people jumping off this cliff.

They scared us because the lake levels were so low.  AND a few of the girls jumped on one another.

I enjoyed sitting back and watching the guys ride the Sky Ski.   They were doing crazy tricks, trying to flip the ski.  It was fun to watch, and riding in the boat is so relaxing.

Pardon my lake hair.

The lake damn was being repaired so the water level was so low.  It looked so different than it normally does.  Every other year these cliffs are almost covered in water.

I am so thankful for a fun place to go every summer to meet our friends and relax.

The kids had a fun time at our parents, and we were so happy to put our feet up :)

how to eat a cupcake tutorial

I'm gonna show you how I eat a cupcake....

Mmmmm....After a little taste test I realize, yep it is edible.

First you gotta size it up...

Then you have to just take a huge bite.

If it doesn't all fit go ahead and shove it in.

It's ok if it falls apart.

Don't even worry about trying to keep it together or stay clean.

These hands are really strong and they tend to mush things.

That is it...it's that easy. That is how I eat a cupcake.
