Oh my! I did indeed drop my phone in the swimming pool Saturday while filming the children doing stunts. I left it for 4 days and nights and it is still dead. Booooooooo!
In my experience it suffices a single drop of water, not a pool, to end the life of an electronic device. Beware of liquids near keyboard, cellphone, etc...
