Castle Sleepover

We just picked Layla up from a sleepover at the Castle here in town.

She got to spend the night with friends doing fun fall crafts and learning a little history about the town!

She was a little nervous about staying overnight, but she did great! I'm so glad it was big fun. She said she wants to go back next year. I'm all for starting fun traditions and making good memories!

School is cool!

Someone is all fired up about his first fundraiser. He ran home from school asking us to order all kinds of goodies!

The school had a fun assembly to got the kiddos all excited!

I've had several people ask about how the kids are liking school. As you know we moved here from Texas a year ago in November. Layla and Hayden both attended different schools when we got here. Now, they are hopefully at the school we will stay at for awhile.

I'm so thankful we are loving our new school. I'm honored to be able to volunteer each week and the kids seem very comfortable in their new school environment.

I attended parent teacher conferences this week and I'm excited that all is going well with both kids. It gives to great comfort to send both kids to school knowing they are happy in their surroundings!

Weird worm Wednesday

I saw this weird creature crawling on the patio this afternoon. It is creepy huh?!? I know it has to be scary when the dogs won't even mess with it. Usually Lily barks and paws at caterpillars, worms and crickets, but she wouldn't even touch this stinker!

I've definitely seen some weird bugs here in Ohio that I never saw in Texas!

Hayden came home from school before it slithered away. He said very matter of factly, "It is a horned caterpillar, mom. I saw one at school today. I wouldn't recommend touching it."

Ya think?!

Puppy power!

After having had two big dogs I didn't want to get another big dog to 'replace' them. We decided to get Daisy who tops out at 13 lbs. I think she is the best dog. She's a princess for sure!

Then we moved to Ohio and I decided we needed an 'Ohio' dog.

I'm so smitten with this black lab pup. She didn't replace Callaway or Harley, because she has an awesome personality of her own!

I love them both to the moon and back. And I love that these girls are besties!

Soccer {picture} Sunday

Today was an awesome day for soccer!
The weather was amazing.  I'm a lover of this crisp fall air in case I haven't mentioned it.

It was picture day too.

The pups begged for a picture.

I don't usually purchase school pictures or sports team pictures. I take so many pictures the kids call me the momarazzi.  I love taking pictures and posting them here.

Anyway....

Last year I hijacked a group shot and it turned out great.  This year they got wise and put up caution tape. haha!

I took the pictures anyway.  It's a memory none the less!

The kids both walked away with team wins.  Yay!!

it's beginning to look like fall

The kids came home from school today excited to see all our fall decorations outside!

It was all fun and games until Lily ate a pumpkin and we caught Daisy trying to eat the mums.
