SuperCross weekend!

Hayden got a dirt bike for Christmas and he was obsessed with racing before, but now it's a much deeper love for him.  He was so excited for weeks and weeks knowing SuperCross was coming up and we were going to watch the races.

I've always enjoyed the races and I pretty much married into it, but slowly I've grown to follow a few riders and enjoy watching the races.  I have to admit it gets my heart race pumping.  I do hate the feeling when I see riders crash, especially since I now have a little rider in the family.

We had a little down time before the races and we enjoyed catching up with our buddies.  Oh these guys and their love for bikes.  These two grown men have been riding bikes since they were our little boys ages.

Us girls are just along for the ride.  I like to pick a few riders and then check their Instagram profiles while the races are going.  It's fun to see who is out there riding and with all the social media these days I can see what kind of guys ride!  Ya...stalker huh?!?

Woohoooooo!

At&t stadium is AMAZING!

Since we made a weekend of it, the kids begged to pack their swim suits.  I just knew they wouldn't be able to swim, but who knows?!?  They stuck their feet in on Sunday morning and it was indeed cold!!

We are thrilled to have SuperCross buddies and we are already planning our trip next year!

Braaaappppp!

Hayden Cole rode a motorcycle for the first time ever today!

He did amazing and I'm so happy for him.  I wasn't sure if he'd ride or be overwhelmed.  He loves it and is now asking Santa for a dirt bike. Oh my momma nerves will be shot for sure.

His friend was so patient to watch him learn.  Gary is a great teacher and he was so supportive.  I was unbelievable calm.  I don't know how that happened.  Luckily I didn't see when he had a minor crash.  I may have called the whole thing off. haha!

Gary put on some gear and rode a bit too. I had major flashbacks to years ago when he rode every single weekend.  I see more days at the track for these boys in our future.

Layla and Lexi had fun hanging out. They ran around, explored the little pond and made Musical.ly videos. Lexi actually rode some too, but Layla was nervous and decided she didn't want to ride at all.  I'm thinking she may change her mind someday.

They ended up building a homemade see-saw.  Oh how I love these silly little ladies.

It was a fun day with wonderful weather for December.  The cold front is coming in though...it will be freezing cold by morning!

Indian!

The kids and I went to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Atlanta Highway Indian motorcycle dealership.

The dealership turned out amazing. The building was totally redone, including new paint and floors.  It's so pretty and I just love the layout of the store.  I took a picture (above) of the kiddos in front of Layla's favorite bike.  She loves the willow green color.

I enjoyed meeting some of the people Gary talks about all the time.  It's so good to put a name with a face to most of the people I hear so much about.  It was a hot Saturday, but a great way to spend the day, and what a great turnout...tons of people!

mini moto races

We love visiting dad at work.  (He's the director for a motorcycle company and he oversees the operations of 4 dealerships in the Georgia area)  We expecially love when their are fun events at work because we love to go see all the bikes in action!

I mean who wouldn't love a job in which you can wear shorts to work?!?  He's so spoiled.  He has the best job ever and I'm not even kidding. Plus, he's really good at it too!

Hayden loves to try out all the units.  He pretty much wants one of everything.  He informed us that he's almost 7 and he needs a dirt bike.  Honestly if it were up to Gary and Hayden, they would both have dirt bikes.  I'm the one that beggs them to wait.  UGGGHHH!  I've already been through a torn ACL due to Gary riding a dirt bike.  I'll have a coronary when Hayden starts riding, but I can't fight it forever. It's in these guys blood.  I'm good with just doing soccer!  ;)

Hayden is a Honda guy.  He's a fan of the red and white.  I'd love for him to get a Yamaha. I'm partial to the royal blue, and they did give us a pay check for a year or two once upon a time!

Watching the races was really fun.  The riders did a good job in the heat of the day.  They were even comical.  I loved watching them race the vintage bikes.

After the races we hung out with dad for a bit and this little lady in all her bossy-ness sat at dads desk for awhile.  She's so silly and would make a great CEO.  She looks like a natural huh?!?

After our long day of motorcycles we decided to cool off at the pool!  I'm thankful for a fun neighborhood pool for us to relax and see friends!

Happy weekend ya'll!

HC's first motorcycle ride

This morning Hayden went on his first motorcycle ride.  It was quick, thankfully, because I was a little nervous.  He told me he was scared at first and then once they were on the road he gave me a thumbs up and he was perfect!  He had a super fun ride.  Yes, I was following them in the Jeep because I'm a freak like that!  haha!
