birthday beach bash

We had the best time celebrating the kids birthday's yesterday.

I love the way the cupcakes turned out, and they tasted great too!

I had so much fun planning and decorating for the party... I love parties!

We had a million beach balls and all the kids got to take one or two or three home with them!

Of course we had sweet tea, and Gary smoked a brisket and a pork shoulder.

We put the meat between potato rolls and had little sliders.

It was so hot and I was glad we had several ways to cool off.

The water slide is always fun and the kids and adults both have a super fun time playing on it!

Since we had beach balls we all threw them at the kids as they were sliding down.

Some kids may not like brisket and pork so we made little hot dogs.  It was so simple, but perfect.  Most kids were too busy to eat, so there was no wasted hot dogs.  Whenever the kiddos got hungry they just grabbed one and ran!

It was so hot one of the bears slipped off the cupcake....

Hayden helped me clean up the mess!

Every time I saw Hayden yesterday he had another cupcake in his hand.

Speaking of cupcakes, I made mac n cheese cupcakes too.

And instead of taking the time during the party to scoop ice cream, I scooped it the day before.  I put the scoops into hula skirt cupcake liners and then put them back into the freezer in muffin tins wrapped in press n seal wrap.  When the time for ice cream came, we just ate it right out of the liner.

The adult "boys" had a super fun time acting like kids.  They had a serious game of catch going on.  It was so funny to watch.  It is safe to say we all had a blast!!!

If you look closely in the picture below you can see the football flying through the sky...

I am so thankful for our friends!  Thanks to everyone who came and made the kids Beach Bash a spectacular event!  It is something we will remember forever!!!
