his first golf tournament

HC played in the Starburst tornament for the first time.  Oh his face just says it all!

I'm so happy Gary was able to take 3 mornings off work to be Hayden's caddie.  They are so  handsome and both just love the game.

They even took a few selfies for even though I was there every step of the tournament.

We all walked well over 10,000 steps each day of the three day event.  Actuallyyyyy Layla and I got a cart the last day, but walked a million miles the two days before.  It was fun to walk, but also fun to ride on the last day of the tournament.

Here we go on the last day.

I love being a golf mom!  I have to thank Layla too for getting up early to support her brother!  She was up early walking with me and sweating like crazy to watch him play.

I'm thinking the golfer is getting onto the caddie a bit in this picture.  It was pretty hot the last day and tensions were high!

Two of the three days Hayden played with these two guys.  It's so fun to meet new friends on the course.

They had a fun time and I'm so glad that even though Hayden didn't get the scored he'd hoped for it was an amazing experience.  He knows he must work on his putting game before the next tournament.  He was on the green on almost every hole with two shots.  His putting game slowed him down.  He shot 57/58/57.  It don't think that is bad for his first tournament at age 9.  He's consistent!

This is the last selfie the guys took.  They were laughing so hard because like myself, sometimes when we take selfies we press the wrong button on the phone and turn the phone off.  Gary had done this several times and it was just so funny.

golf lover

We see him climbing the fence and leaving the gate open to chase after stray golf balls.

We see him every single morning sporting a 'polo' shirt, because that is what golfers wear.

We see him hitting the snot out of the ball as it launches up high in the sky.

We see his smile when his golf coach tells him how awesome he is doing.

We see the want to learn in his eyes and we are proud of his hard work!!!!

happy kiddos [finally} at TopGolf

Gary and I have been to Top Golf a couple of time since moving to the Atlanta area.

The kids were not happy with us going without them, but we decided to try it out and make sure it was fun before taking them.  You know, we wouldn't want to take them somewhere lame. ;) heeheehee!

We took them today!  The wait was crazy long, so we drove to check out a nearby lake and then we went back.  The wait was a bit shorter but we still had to wait.  We ate a few appetizers and the kiddos go the donut holes.  Top Golf serves infusable donut holes.  It is brilliant!!

I love my guys!!

We had a wonderful time and the kids seemed to love golfing at Top Golf.  Layla was doing amazing.  At one point Hayden was complimenting Layla on her swing.  He said, "wow those golf lessons really paid off!"  I'm surprised he remembers her taking golf lessons in Texas.

Ahhhh!  I love this girl!  This is what our selfies have turned into.  Silly stinker!

We had a fun day golfing.  At one point it was raining and we were completely dry.
Yay for indoor golfing!

Monday is for golf!

Gary and I played golf today with friends and I was in awe of the beautiful scenery.  I just love the weather and feeling a breeze while playing golf.  I'm hoping for many more golf outtings and maybe a few including the kids this summer!  It's such a fun activity and I hope the kids will enjoy it as much as Gary does!

Working on our skills

The weather today was perfect for a golf game! The kids were so excited to go play golf with dad!

I was worried about Layla getting bored. She likes golf, but doesn't love it. You know what? She did great! She out drove me hitting from the tee box a few times. I was so proud of her.

She had the most fun driving the golf cart she and I shared. She's a great driver and she had so much fun. She felt like she was driving a real car! We hit some hard bumps a few times and bounced out of our seats. We stated laughing until our tummies hurt!

She was also a great coach and supporter for me. I got super frustrated a few times. I had a horrible round of golf and she was good about making me calm down. I'm way to competitive sometimes.

Hayden had a great golf round and Gary did pretty good also. It was fun to watch Gary golf. He loves it so much!

The weather was absolutely perfect for golf! I'm loving the peaceful pictures and the big puffy clouds against the blue sky!

Just another Summer Sunday

Today was a nice day here at home with the family.

Gary got up this morning and mowed the yard and I did laundry and a little bit of cleaning.  While mowing Gary added a putting green to part of our yard.

Gary and Hayden played golf right here in our yard all afternoon.

Layla and I loved watching them, and Layla joined in too.

I sat and took tons of pictures today.  I have an addiction.  I guess I could be addicted to worse things huh?!?

We ended the evening with a bonfire.

For some reason I got chilly as the evening went on.  It was about 73 degrees and I wouldn't call that hot by any means, but certainly not cold.  I guess the breeze got me.  I had to get my snuggie and cuddle up!  This is certainly a summer like no other for the Sipes family!  We are loving this Ohio weather.  I hope your Sunday was grand!

Hayden is 5 years old!

Hayden loved his cake for breakfast!

Take a picture of me a dad!!

I sure do love my silly little man.

Hayden is pretty easy to please.  He said he wanted to play Putt-Putt on his birthday.

We had a great time!

Hayden was surrounded by girls while playing golf.  I think he's a lucky 5 year old!

Hayden told Gary and I he didn't want to go to a restaurant for his birthday dinner.

He was very specific about what he wanted, so we obliged.  He wanted steak, mac n cheese and green beans.  We all enjoyed our steak dinner and had more chocolate cake for dessert!  It was a great day indeed!
