Polar Express Party

Layla got dress up in her Christmas pj's this morning for her kindergarten {Polar Express} Christmas party.  It was so cold outside this morning, and pretty much all day it stayed in the upper 40's. This fleecy warm Santa gown with boots and tights was perfect for the cold day.

The kids desks were set up so cute.  Us mommies got their early to help set up the fun party!

Layla and her classmates opened gifts and goodie bags first and then went on to craft time!

One craft was making a bell ornament...they painted them and added glitter.

Here is a shot of Layla and Kyndle.  Kyndle and  Layla are BFF's.  And yes, I realise I posted a picture of these two pretty girls with their eyes closed.  Believe it or not both pictures I took are the same...I cracked up!  They really are two peas in a pod!

Layla is taking her turn making reindeer food.  Have you heard of reindeer food?  We make it every year and so now we have two batches.  It is oatmeal and glitter mixed all together. Christmas Eve night we sprinkle the mixture all over the yard.  So fun :)

I have been looking forward to Layla's party for a few weeks.  I have been anxious to meet some of her friends and Layla was super excited about it, so I was excited because she was!  And the sweets...wow.  Cupcakes, cookies, and candy galore.

The Polar Express party was fun and a great way to start the Christmas break which by the way Layla was VERY ready for a much needed break!
