Saturday in the backyard

We played outside all day today.  The weather was great.  It was overcast and breezy.  It looked like it could rain at any second, but it never did.

I got frustrated by the look of the transplanted shrubs we have/had in our backyard.  I was so mad earlier this week I dug them all up and threw them in the garbage.  They weren't growing back after we moved them from the front yard to the back, so they are gone.  There are 5 small holes in the backyard now.

We went to Home Depot and got a few more moving boxes and 4 bags of top soil and I leveled those holes out!  You should have seen me hauling those 4 (40 lb) bags of sand around.  I was out of breath!  Almost as out of breath as I was after Layla challenged me to a jump rope contest.  Whew!  I'm telling you what.  I almost wet my pants and passed out all at the same time.  Jumping around like that is for the younger folk.  It was a good workout though.  Maybe I should reconsider and try again.

It was a nice day to be outside running, playing and exploring.  Pretty soon we will be living in Ohio and I'm thinking the kids will be wearing a little different wardrobe.  We were loving our short sleeved shirts, shorts and bare feet!

I can just picture you lugging those big bags around! Hehe! Yes, enjoy your shorts and shirts now, I wore my north face and boots today. It wasn't super cold yet, low 60's and sunny, but there is certainly a chill in the air now.

I wanted to tell you that I saw a C&C near you which is great news!!
