Hello October...I think I love you

It is October 1st!  I couldn't be happier...whoo stinkin' wooo!

The weather looks great for us for the next week.  I am so ready for fall weather and all things fall.  When I was at Walmart today I grabbed a few fall things.  I got four pumpkins...two big and two little.  Hayden won't put his down, so I didn't take a picture of it.

I also grabbed these...

Layla is on an apple kick. Seriously she eats 2 or 3 apples a day. She just washes them and chows down, skin and all. She has been asking to make caramel apples. I gladly said YESSSS!! Yummmmy! Nothing says fall like pumpkins & apples.

Look what I found at Walmart today.  The lady that checked me out was very excited when she saw they had it in stock!  She said soooo many people were asking for it.  I stocked up!  I really have been craving pumpkin bread.  I was going to make my own pumpkin puree, but not now.  I'd rather spend my time playing outside with the kids in this wonderful weather.

I can't believe I am posting this, but my husband got an iPhone.  He is going to love it, I just know! I can't believe it...he has always been a Blackberry man.  I told him about a new golf app...he is going to love all that he can do with his phone!

Yesterday in the carpool line I almost LOST MY MIND!  They told me Layla had been called for early release.  Huh?  How is that possible?   Who and how could someone else pick up my daughter?  I started to shake while they were getting it all figured out.  And when I saw Layla I was so happy!  I squeezed the snot out of her.  Can you imagine if there had been a mix up?  Seriously  I am thanking God today that nothing happened to my little girl.  Our school is very safe and secure.  They pride themselves on safety.  Thank goodness nothing happened.

And since I posted a picture of Layla, I couldn't leave Hayden out.  He is my little golfer.  When it isn't raining and he isn't eating, he is golfing.  He loves it.  He is loving the cooler temps more than anyone in our house.  It  means he can handle being outdoors in the backyard hitting the golf ball.  He loves to say "tee shot"  and "nice one"  He is learning all the golf lingo.  Not that those words are golf words, but they are for my 2 year old. I'll try to get some video of him this weekend.  He really has a great swing for his age.

Have a great weekend y'all!

Oh my gosh I would have had a breakdown right there if the school told me someone else had picked up my kid! What an awful mistake!!!

Yummo! I love carmel apples! My boys have been eating apples alot lately too, but I have to peel theirs for them. I bet that was so scary to think that somehow someone else had picked her up! I glad they figured it out.

Caramel apples sound DELICIOUS, I just had some on a trip we took recently. Ugh, I crave some now. And pumpkin pie!

Ok, that story about your daughter at school would've scared me to death! Oh my goodness! So glad it all worked out alright. I, too, am so ready for fall food! Love it! And I'm a total iphone addict. I don't think I could live without mine!

I would have been so upset over the mixup, it's inexcusable in my mind. Glad she is ok!! Yay for October, so glad it's here!!
